Hogan
Junction - Getting Started
As the layout will consist of two
lightweight 3'x6' halves, I determined that this entire assembly could be supported by
three evenly spaced and reinforced wall brackets.
One bracket would be centered on the wall and the layout, and then there
would be one bracket at each end, approximately 4' from the center
support. In this way, the two halves would share the center support and
then each side would have support at the 2/3 point of the far ends.
The first step was to locate the wall studs and then fasten a support
strap to the wall with anchor screws. You will note that the brackets
have already been assembled to longer support boards which are designed
to rest on top of the wall support straps.
You may not be able to see it in this picture, but I have carefully marked out exact mounting locations
for the brackets with a tape measure and level, and I have all the materials and tools
in the
work area. We're ready to go!
