Narragansett Railroad
HO Scale Rhode Island Line, Awesome Details!

This is an incredibly detailed layout featuring a real RR that existed in Rhode Island, ran 8-1/2 miles from Kingston to the Narragansett pier transporting passengers in hopes to compete with the famous Newport, RI playground of the rich.

Although the real line never made it further then what is stated above, this great model demonstrates where it could have gone.

Construction & Scenery
The Narragansett runs along the walls of the basement in a double L shape, approximately 14x12x24x12. The layout has taken roughly 6 yrs to bring to where it is now approx 95% complete and has mainly kit-bashed building, some scratch built. Murals and sky were also completed by the modeler. It also has a combination of PFM, MRC and a custom built Northsound system.

For anyone who belongs to the NER branch of the NMRA the layout will be open for tour and the regional convention in Sept.  For more details, e-mail the layout builder, Thomas Staton at staton@localnet.com
